Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
1. Introduction
Cazimera Calendar (the "App") and the cazimera.com website (the "Site") are operated by Cazimera LLC ("we," "our," or "us"). This policy explains what information the App and the Site handle, and, more importantly, what they do not.
The short version: the App has no account, no sign-in, and no server. Your calendar, your birth data, and everything you write stay on your device. The only information that ever leaves your device is anonymous usage counts that contain no content and are not linked to you.
2. Information That Stays on Your Device
The App works with the following information. All of it is stored and processed entirely on your device. None of it is transmitted to us or to anyone else:
- Birth data: the birth date, time, and place you enter to build your chart. Your chart is computed on your device from an astronomical dataset bundled with the App. Nothing about your chart is sent anywhere.
- Calendar data: the App reads the calendars already on your device to display and score your events, and modifies an event only when you explicitly ask it to move one. Event titles, times, locations, and attendees are never transmitted.
- Personal entries: journal entries, logged card pulls, intentions, and reminders you create in the App.
- Settings: your preferences and display options.
3. The One Thing That Leaves Your Device
The App sends anonymous usage analytics so we can understand which features are used and make the App better. These events consist only of feature names, toggles, and counts (for example, "a Plan search was run"). They contain no free text, no journal or intention content, no calendar event titles, no birth data, and nothing derived from your chart. They are not linked to your name, email address, or any identity, and we do not use them to track you across apps or websites. The App does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, because it does not track you.
For anyone in the EU or UK: our legal basis for this limited, anonymous analytics is our legitimate interest in understanding which features are used so we can improve the App (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because the data is not tied to your identity, it does not require your consent, and you can turn analytics off in the App's settings at any time.
If this analytics service is ever unreachable, the App simply carries on. It never depends on a network connection to work.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions and the founding lifetime unlock are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymized transaction records so the App can unlock what you purchased.
5. Calendar Access
The App asks for full calendar access because it both reads your events to score their mood and, at your explicit request, moves an event to a suggested better time. You can revoke calendar access at any time in iOS Settings; the App will keep working with everything that does not require your events.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. Deleting an entry in the App deletes it. Deleting the App removes everything the App stored. There is no server-side copy for us to keep or to delete, and no export to request from us; your data is already with you.
7. The Website
The Site is a static informational site. It has no accounts, sets no cookies, and runs no advertising or cross-site trackers. Because there are no tracking cookies, there is nothing to consent to, and we honor Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals by default (we do not track regardless). Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and requested page) for security and operations, as virtually all web hosts do; where those logs count as personal data, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the Site secure and running.
8. Children's Privacy
The App and the Site are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included; the App is built not to. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will address it promptly.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Privacy laws in many places grant rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data. Our architecture answers most of these by design: we do not hold your personal data, so there is nothing for us to hand over, correct, or delete; it is all on your device, under your control. The anonymous usage counts we receive cannot be tied back to you, which means we are unable to locate any record about you specifically. Deleting an entry, or the App, removes your data because it lived only on your device.
9.1 United States (including California)
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, under the CCPA/CPRA or any comparable US state law. We have never done so and have no mechanism to. There is nothing to opt out of because there is no sale, no sharing, and no targeted advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
9.2 EU, EEA, and UK (GDPR and UK GDPR)
For the limited processing described in this policy, the data controller is Cazimera LLC, 2222 W Grand River Ave, Okemos, MI 48864-1604, United States, reachable at support@cazimera.com. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw any consent you have given, without affecting processing already carried out. Because we hold no data that identifies you, we may be unable to act on a request without additional information, and we will not use such a request as a reason to collect more about you than we otherwise would.
Legal bases. We rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for anonymous product analytics and for keeping the Site secure, and on the performance of our agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b)) for delivering purchases you make through Apple. All astrology and content processing happens on your device and is never received by us.
International transfers. If our analytics provider processes the anonymous usage counts outside your region (for example in the United States), that transfer is covered by an appropriate safeguard such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision where one applies. Your personal data, your chart, journal, intentions, and events, is never transferred because it never leaves your device.
Complaints. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In the UK this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU or EEA it is the data protection authority for the country where you live.
EU and UK representative. Where we are required to appoint a representative under Article 27 GDPR or UK GDPR, their contact details will be listed here.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change ever expands what data leaves your device, we will say so plainly in the App before it takes effect.
